So I order this for my Leica DISTO D810.
My OEM case that came with the Distro was worn out and I needed a replacement. Also the OEM case has a flap top that when on your hip and your trying to holster the decive the flap always gets in my way.
Now if you have not noticed there isn't many replacement case options avaliable for this particular laser but after some online searching I seen this one and noticed it also had a metal clip. With a clip I can quickly fasten the case to my belt before I venture out taking measurements for graphing. Instead of having to unfasten my belt and run my belt through the OEM CASES belt loop.
When I'm graphing I use a 6" ruler, graph paper, and clipboard. I take measurement and in between I can holster the Laser quickly. This is a big plus as it frees up my hands and makes me more productive.
Anyways, I did not like the fitment of the first case I was sent. Although it did work it was just way to big for the laser and the laser did not fit securely inside the case. I did not like this.
So, I contacted customer service. Then sent pictures of the fitment and stressed my concerns and wants. I must say it was a very pleasant experience. I gave them measurement of the Distro device and what would be the ideal measurements for a snug fitment and they actually located a better fitting case that suited my needs.
They told me to just keep the first case I was initially sent and they located a case they had in stock with a good snug…
